Summer is just around the corner and that means it's time for cool and yummy smoothie bowls recipes!
Summer is just around the corner and we love having cold drinks and food at this time of the year, but unfortunately a person can't survive eating ice cream only. That's why we love the idea of having healthy smoothie bowls! And freezing fruits and veggies after they ripe is a great away to be prepare for any smoothie bowl recipes.
To make your smoothie bowls more fun and attractive we recommend using protein and superfood powders. For this recipe we used blue spirulina from Unicorn Superfoods and we loved it! Spirulina is known to have a 60% protein content, which means that it's a richer source of protein than most vegetables.
And in case you are more familiar to green spirulina we highly recommend trying the blue one - the smell and flavour of blue spirulina are more neutral, making it easier to receive the benefits of spirulina without the stronger taste.
2 tbsp coconut cream
4 medjool dates or coconut sugar
4 frozen ripe bananas
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 heaped tsp Blue Spirulina from Unicorn Superfoods
Blend and mash all the ingredients until is creamy and smooth.
