We all know oranges to be a fruit with high vitamin C concentration but did you know that one cup of strawberries has more of this important vitamin than an orange? With this serving you get 100 percent of your vitamin C daily requirement - which is so important for its antioxidant properties and the boost in immunity.
Although it is optional, we love adding collagen to this and other smoothies. Collagen is basically the glue that holds our skin, bones, muscles and connective tissue together. That means that the lack of collagen in your diet can lead to skin wrinkling and dryness, dull hair and weak nails, bones and muscles.
1 1/2 cup of strawberries
1 cup of your favourite milk
1 tbsp almond butter
1tbsp collagen (we use from Nutra Organics)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Blend it all together and enjoy!
