A blueberry smoothie that looks as good as it tastes? Yes, please!
We love blueberries! They’re just so sweet, colourful and tasty. Many researches also shows that blueberries have one of the highest antioxidant levels of all common fruits and vegetables and it also contains high amounts of fibre, vitamin C and vitamin K. We used wild blueberries in this smoothie - they are smaller but richer in antioxidants. But feel free to use any other berries!
Another amazing ingredient that we incorporated in this recipe is the superfood chia seed. These seeds are known to be a superfood because they are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet! Chia seeds are loaded with fiber, protein, omega-3 fatty acids and various micronutrients. It is highly recommend adding chia seeds to smoothie recipes just because it will dramatically boost their nutritional value.
1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup coconut cream
1/2 cup your favourite plant-based milk
1/4 cup walnuts
1tbsp soaked chia seeds
Blend it all together and enjoy!
